This 2-day course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to an active shooter situation. The course includes a combination of lectures, practical exercises, and scenario-based training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of active shooter response tactics.

Course Objectives

Participants will:

• develop skills in room-clearing movements, both as individual officers and as part of a team.

• will learn the principles and fundamentals of room clearing.

• will receive training in threshold assessments, formation and movement techniques as a team, including navigating open doors, closed doors, hallways, and intersections.

• apply the acquired techniques in simulated active shooter scenarios.
